Grace provides individual therapy services to address a range of personal challenges. Her intent is to help you focus on stability and decrease distressing symptoms that may have brought you to therapy. Your work together will allow you to figure out who you are, identify your values, and make sure that your choices reflect that self-knowledge. This work can increase your self-acceptance, confidence, and enhance your relationships.

Grace works with couples and families, genuinely and non-judgmentally, to help increase their awareness of each other, foster resolution to past experiences, and develop an understanding of each others’ feelings and value systems. Ultimately this helps facilitate more effective communication, builds resiliency for better conflict resolution, and promotes deeper empathy.

for the LGBT community
Grace has particular skills and experience working with people who are marginalized due to their gender identity and/or sexual orientation. She has a deep understanding of the lifelong challenges that society presents for LGBTQ individuals and the unique ways these issues play out in one’s self-acceptance, self-love, relationships with family and friends, and relationships with significant others.

She works from and understands social and systemic trauma inflicted on LGBTQ people and is able to help them deepen their understanding of who they are, increase their self-love, and lessen the internalized devaluing of self resulting from social and systemic trauma.

Grace's therapeutic approach is highly personalized, integrating innovative and research based techniques to help clients achieve powerful change. Her passion is to utilize heart-centered work grounded in knowledge and experience. 

 

She believes one of the most profound determinants to how we experience our lives is how we feel about ourselves (our sense of worthiness) and how we feel towards ourselves (our capacity for self-compassion). 

 

Whether you are dealing with life transitions, stress, processing to release past trauma, relationship or mental health issues, her intention is to offer a safe, supportive, non-judgmental, and collaborative space to explore your feelings while building resilience for navigating life’s challenges and changes.

 

Grace provides therapy with an open and affirming approach, recognizing and celebrating the unique perspectives and strengths of all individuals.

Grace offers in-person and virtual sessions and is flexible with scheduling frequency (weekly, every other week, or even monthly). She is not a covered provider with health insurance companies, but can provide you with superbills that you can submit to your insurance if they offer reimbursement.

Recyling the Rhetoric

The Art and Magic of Creating Found Poetry

This is a process of self-healing and channeling that Grace has been doing for more than 30 years. She developed it while working as a psychotherapist in a psychiatric hospital as a way to help patients with schizophrenia access, process, and share the multiple realities and voices they were hearing and seeing. Through the use of art, collage, and found poetry, Grace and her patients found a way - together - to articulate the many messages, voices, ideas, and feelings all happening at the same time. Since then, she has further developed the process for a broader audience to explore their creative and spiritual expression.
